landscape_services_introLandscapes are more than trees and shrubs outside. They provide functional outdoor spaces and add aesthetic value to your property. To achieve a landscape that will thrive and grow with your property it takes careful planning and an understanding of your expectations. To achieve this Mike’s Clean Cut Landscaping utilizes experienced professionals, quality plant material, and the principals of the design process to achieve a functional and aesthetically pleasing landscape through our maintenance and installation practices.

Shrub & Tree Pruning: We will inspect, shape, and prune all deciduous/evergreen shrubs and trees at the appropriate time to maintain optimal health and aesthetic value. Our three-point method times pruning to coincide with ideal growing conditions that will facilitate or maintain growth. (A licensed subcontractor working directly with us will take care of trees larger than 12 feet.)

Bed Maintenance: All planting beds will be weeded by hand, mechanically, chemically, or a combination of theses methods. We will deadhead annual flowers at the appropriate time throughout the season. Towards the fall, all desired perennial will be cut down to 2 inches above the soil level.

Annual/ Mum Flower Planting: In the spring, we will plant annual flowers in designated planting beds and planters. We will provide you with a list of flowers that will accommodate the conditions of the site. Planting beds will also be cultivated to loosen up the soil. Mums are available at the end of summer to liven up fall planting beds and planters.

Mulch Installation: Mulch will be spread in all planting beds where it is currently present or as designated by the homeowner. We can also deliver mulch to your home for homeowner installation. We offer a variety of mulch such as double and triple shredded hardwood, cypress, cedar, playground mulch, premium hardwood, and colorant bark. Some of the benefits to mulch are it retains moisture for plants, keeps soil temperature down, weed control, and aesthetic value. All natural bed edges will get a fresh new trench of 3 to 4” to give you a distinct line between turf and bed as well as to help prevent grass from creeping into the planting beds.

Sod Installation: Whether you need a small patch job, full sod installation, or sod replacement of an existing area of grass, we have the quality materials and resource to get your job done in a timely matter. We have the knowledge of water management and the equipment to grade and finish grade the property, if necessary, to properly prep the site for installation.

Landscape Design/ Construction: Depending on if your landscape goal is to create an outdoor living space, add curb appeal, or address an issue like highway nose or screening we have the knowledge, craftsmanship, and resources to make your desires become a reality. We offer 2-D or rendered landscape plans as well as 3-D computer images that allow you to see the final product before any work begins. Although we can simply design a landscape for you, we have the crew, equipment, and know how necessary for installation. We will be with you every step of the way from the beginning stages of the design and site analysis to seeing your project through completion.

Grading/ Finish Grading: Having the correct grade on your property is important for proper drainage and water run off diverting it away from your foundation. Whether it is a small or large-scale project, with our experienced craftsman and equipment we can shape your property to have the correct contours and slopes to guide water into designated areas. Once we complete rough grading and clean the soil of loose debris, we start the finish grading process to prepare for sod installation, seeding, or hydro seeding.

Water Management: Water management on a site is critical to direct water away from your house and into a designated area so it does not cause any problems. We install French drains, underground downspouts, drainage fields, or sump systems to tackle all your water management needs.
